Masked men patrolling the streets. Families separated. Children as young as five, arrested. Civilians murdered. Innocent people sent to far away prisons in lands they have never called home. We might expect this from comic book villains, but under President Donald Trump, this is what ICE is doing in America.

The president, who has made no attempts to hide his admiration for authoritarian leaders, has created an unaccountable military force more loyal to him than to the constitution they are sworn to uphold. Just like every other wannabe dictator.

Now, we are living through the consequences. American citizens are being mistreated, abused and even murdered, sometimes on camera, by ICE agents. Eight people have been killed by ICE agents this year, and it’s only February. To make matters worse, our own government tells us not to believe our own eyes when videos documenting these abuses surface and resist impartial investigations into the conduct of their officers.

When they are not physically assaulting our citizens, Trump’s army of poorly trained, anonymous thugs are roaming our streets attempting to intimidate anyone who disagrees with them while disregarding established law, court orders, and........
