Dolly Parton’s sister has assured fans of the country superstar she didn’t mean to “scare” them with her recent comments.

Last week, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter announced she was postponing an upcoming Las Vegas residency on medical grounds, disclosing that she is “dealing with some health challenges”, for which she needs to undergo “a few procedures”.

“As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!” she joked at the time.

Days later, Dolly’s sister Freida Parton wrote on Facebook that she’d been “up all night praying for my sister, Dolly” who she said “hasn’t been feeling her best........
