Darren Hartop, 58, brazenly carried out eight padded jackets from Mountain Warehouse in Norwich.

The thefts on September 16 came while he was already awaiting sentence for a number of similar thefts from shops.

Norwich Magistrates’ Court was told he had 45 previous convictions committed while on bail and a string of missed court dates.
