Walcott has been under threat by the battering North Sea for many years with its seawall and other defences taking the brunt of the storms.

Under the Coastwise project, North Norfolk District Council has been working on a plan to take a more "adaptive" approach instead of a defensive scenario to prepare locals for the future.

This includes roll-back schemes where communities and their assets are essentially rolled back in land, instead of spending money on "hard defences".
