Great Yarmouth Borough Council (GYBC) has withdrawn Wellington Construction's bid to build 104 homes in Bradwell.
The inclusion of the proposals on this week's development committee agenda prompted confusion as the firm behind the project went into liquidation in November.

GYBC said last week that the landowner wanted to continue with the plans - which involved two linked applications - despite the Lowestoft-based company going bust.
The smaller of the two applications for 29 properties on land off King's Drive and Marjoram Road had been recommended for approval by officers, but 75 homes off Meadowland Drive were likely to be rejected.

However, the council has since withdrawn both housing bids to allow for a "full consultation period" to be conducted.
Villagers had previously opposed the controversial developments, writing 97 letters of objection against them over fears they would lead to increased traffic and strain on public services.
Wellington Construction ceased trading in November last year, leading to the loss of 51 jobs.
