The boy was one of two teenagers arrested in November after more than 30 car windows were smashed in Earlham, Norwich, within 24 hours.

One of the teenagers, a 16-year-old, was later charged and appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court last Monday (April 15).

He pleaded guilty to 26 charges relating to a string of car thefts, criminal damage to cars and houses and thefts from shops between November 21 last year and March 11.

While in custody the teenager engaged with Operation Converter where he admitted to a huge number of other offences.

The teen told police about 52 other offences made up of 38 cases of criminal damage to cars, six motor vehicle thefts, four counts of criminal damage to properties, two common assaults, one aggravated vehicle theft and one theft from a shop.

The 52 offences took place between November 22 last year and March 13.

The 16-year-old, who cannot be named due to his age, was sentenced to a nine-month Youth Rehabilitation Order.
