Norwich woman dies after taking 'toxic' and 'dangerous' illegal diet pills
Stephanie Louise Jenkins died on January 13 at the age of just 22 after taking pills containing dinitrophenol, more widely known as DNP.
DNP is a toxic chemical with a variety of industrial uses including fertilisers, dye manufacturing and explosives - but it is also sold illegally in so-called 'diet pills'.
It was officially classified as a regulated poison by the UK government in 2023, after a number of deaths.

At an inquest into Ms Jenkins' death, Area Coroner Yvonne Blake said: "This partly seems to be down to DNP. This is a drug-related death; a chemical-struck, drug-related death."
Ms Jenkins had experienced a fraught and complicated relationship with food and weight for many years before her tragic death in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (N&N).
A statement read out in court from Neil Bowron, Consultant in Gastroenterology at the hospital, said: "She sadly suffered a cardiac arrest.........
