Green light for new waterfront homes as part of 'high-quality' housing bid

A "high-quality" housing development, which has been under discussion for more than two-and-a-half years, is set to be unveiled at Oulton Broad, Lowestoft after revised plans "to regenerate a rundown area" were given the green light.

The proposals for "16 residential units together with associated access, car parking, cycle parking, infrastructure and landscaping" at The Foundry on Lake View Road were submitted to East Suffolk Council in February.

The plans lodged by agents Bidwells for the applicant Lake Marina Properties Ltd were permitted under delegated council powers last week.
