The directors of Wainford House residential care home in Beccles have gained permission to convert the property into flats.

Last month, directors said the proposed conversion of the building into nine flats was for "contingency only".

They said it would only take place if in the future it could not maintain its care provision.

Resubmitted plans for the end of terrace building at 1-3 Saltgate in Beccles had been lodged with East Suffolk Council for a change of use of the building........
