Tim Adams, leader of North Norfolk District Council (NNDC), said it was vital that the £580,000 originally put aside for the “travel hub” was still spent in the coastal town.

His comments come after a suggestion from Norfolk County Council (NCC) if the scheme were to be abandoned, the money could be spent in other places across the county.

Despite NNDC having no control over where the funding is ultimately spent, Mr Adams urged the original intention of the grant to be honoured.
