Rainer Developments Ltd has applied to build the properties on agricultural land on the northern edge of Poringland, along the main Bungay Road which runs through the village.

If approved by South Norfolk Council, construction is expected to begin at the 7.9 hectare site as early as June 2027.

The proposed development, behind the Octagon Barn venue, would span Poringland and neighbouring Framingham Earl, which have both already seen dramatic growth in recent years.
