Those are some of the remarkable objects acquired by Norfolk Museums Service in 2025 to add to their collections.

Curators at the service have revealed their favourite acquisitions of the past 12 months - with coins, paintings, photographs, toys and even a truncheon spanning centuries.

Bethan Holdridge, curator of Norwich's Strangers' Hall Museum, said: "We don’t currently know an awful lot about them, but they represent three East Anglian characters - a fisherman cat, a hunting dog and a dwile-flonking rabbit.

"Dwile-flonking is a very silly game where dishcloths (dwiles) soaked in beer are flung at people and you score points for where you hit.

"The game only dates from the 1950s so these critters can’t be older than that.........
