Anger over council's 'dismissive' response to report criticising its services

Watchdogs from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), in their first ever inspection of adult social care at Norfolk County Council, announced in December that the department "requires improvement".

Inspectors were critical of support for unpaid carers, saying some of those they spoke to felt they received little or no follow-up from the council, while delays in support for the person they cared for worsened their own health and wellbeing.
