Stradsett Ltd has been given planning permission to convert the two Victorian structures beside the A1101 at Stradsett, near Downham Market, into three or four-bedroom properties.

In a planning statement, it said: "In recent years the barns have been used less often since their scale limits scope for use as part of a modern farm.

"Each dwelling can be achieved with ample amenity space and their conversion will have minimal impact on the outward appearance of the buildings or on their surroundings."

Both properties will be heated by air source heat pumps.

It added the proposals were an "appropriate and sustainable" use for the buildings, which are part of the Stradsett Hall estate, which is the seat of the Bagge family.
