Locals don't want Norfolk village 'twinned with paradise' to become a town
More than 100 people living in Dersingham, near King's Lynn, took part in a survey carried out by the parish council.
The consultation in late November was the first step in the process of creating a neighbourhood plan which will govern future development.
Results just published show people feel Dersingham is special because it is friendly, safe and surrounded by nature.
One famously once scrawled "twinned with paradise" on a sign welcoming visitors to the village.
