Hurdy-gurdy player unveils plans to restore Norfolk's former whaling HQ
Stevie Wishart, who bought the Greenland Fishery from a preservation trust in 2024, has applied to carry out "sensitive repair works" to the King's Lynn property.
Ms Wishart, a hurdy-gurdy player, uses the ground floor for concerts and recitals.

She said in a planning statement: "This work is required to secure the building’s long-term preservation, improve environmental performance, and ensure its safe continued use as a cultural venue, in line with national heritage policy and conservation best practice."
Works planned include replacing decaying brickwork and installing new doorways inside the property to improve fire escape routes.
Plastic gutters and downpipes will also be replaced with cast iron fittings.
