Driver, 82, spared jail after partner is killed in crash on blind bend
Retired businessman Raymond Bayfield from Old Buckenham was given a suspended eight-month prison sentence and banned from driving for three years by a judge at Norwich Crown Court.
Bayfield had earlier admitted causing death by careless driving over the crash in which Carole Jermy, 67, sustained fatal injuries when the hired Ford Fiesta he was driving overturned and left the road at Besthorpe, near Attleborough.

Prosecutors said he was driving too fast as he approached a bend on Silver Street at 47mph on September 25, 2023, while taking Ms Jermy and her dog to a grooming parlour.
Norwich Magistrates Court heard driving conditions were good but he failed to slow down sufficiently for the sharp bend in the road before losing control of the car, the Mail reports.
Prosecutor Sarah Fiddy said: "He failed to negotiate the left-hand bend at the junction with School Lane. He left........
