Firefighters responded to an automatic fire alarm at the former Elme Hall Hotel in Emneth at 9.53pm on Sunday.

Crews found a small fire that was out on arrival, but used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service has since confirmed the cause of the fire was accidental.

The crews were back at their station by 10.45pm.
