Great Coastal Railway Journeys will see Michael Portillo travel through the county across three episodes which will air next week.
Next Wednesday's episode will begin in Britain's most easterly town, Lowestoft, where Michael visits the International Boat Building Training College before moving onto Lound Lakes where he joins the warden of the Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s nature reserve.

Michael then travels on to Great Yarmouth before going to explore the Burgh Castle Roman Fort.
In Thursday's episode, the former MP will travel from West Runton to Burnham Market.
In West Runton, he examines replicas of bones found in the largest and oldest mammoth ever discovered in Britain whose fossil remains were stumbled upon by walkers on the beach there in 1990.

He then moves on to Sheringham, where he samples the local crab before heading to visit the North Norfolk Railway line which once took holidaymakers to the seaside and now operates as a heritage line.
From Weybourne, Michael heads to Cley to visit one of the country’s oldest nature reserves. He forages for samphire in the salt marsh before heading to Burnham Market where he has a cooking lesson with a Norfolk born chef.

Friday's episode sees Michael board the Wells and Walsingham line - the smallest public railway in the world - which takes him to Wells before heading onto Holkham Hall.
Later in the episode he visits the seal rehabilitation centre at East Winch and King's Lynn before arriving on The Wash at Snettisham where he joins the site manager to witness a spectacular natural event.
The three episodes will air next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
