Seaside firms put up prices and axe staff despite rise in tourist spending
Firms continue to grapple with rising costs, with a new survey revealing that most have increased prices by up to 10pc, slashed jobs and are holding back on investment.
Tourism injected £700m into Great Yarmouth’s economy last year, with its 7.5m visitors spending 10pc more than they did in 2023.
But despite holidaymakers and day-trippers splashing more cash, the latest survey by Visit Great Yarmouth paints a picture of uncertainty among businesses struggling with rising costs.
