Drop-off fees at the UK’s busiest airports have risen by a third on average since last summer, research by RAC motoring group has revealed.

Sixteen of the country’s 20 busiest airports have increased the charges drivers face for dropping off passengers since last year.

London Gatwick topped the list, charging the highest fee of £10 for 10 minutes, while London Stansted charges the same amount but for 15 minutes.

The two London airports were followed by Edinburgh and Bristol, which both charge £8.50 for 10 minutes.
