Club insists controversial stadium plans WILL go ahead even if Canaries are relegated

They say they will press on with the scheme to relocate thousands of fans from the lower River End despite growing opposition to the project and even if the team is relegated.

Tuesday's defeat against fellow strugglers Derby County saw the free-falling Canaries drop into the Championship relegation zone and pile further pressure on head coach Liam Manning and sporting director Ben Knapper.

The club are now one of the bookmakers' favourites to go down to League One.

The Canaries are facing mounting criticism both about the performances on the pitch - where the team won just one in the last eight games - and the handling of the stadium project, which was imposed on supporters without consultation.

The plans will see more than 3,000 season ticket holders........
