This past summer, Texas enacted Senate Bill 24 (SB 24), which mandates a new, comprehensive curriculum for grades 4-12 that focuses on the history, dangers, and atrocities of communism. This curriculum is set to be implemented in the 2026-2027 school year and will contrast communist ideologies with American principles of freedom and individual rights. It will include victim testimony and aim to protect against future communist influence.
