If yesterday’s overhyped Eclipse of the Sun proved anything—it was that Canadian Parliament is, in essence, one BIG , and not very funny ACT.

How else to explain that politicians on ALL sides of the House left work to stampede outside to look up at the sky like a giddy bunch of school boys, girls and transgender believers?

‘MPs with eclipse glasses stare at 'surreal' celestial event on Parliament’; ‘Dozens of elected officials gathered to crane their necks skyward’(CBC, April 8, 2024)

But wasn’t the parliamentarians’ mad rush outside to rubberneck the Eclipse even more surreal?

It would take a news outlet other than the CBC to note that the “MPs’ eclipse glasses” were more than likely made in China.

How “vital” can the “business of Parliament” be when average Canadians are crippled by soaring inflation and when many of them cannot afford to heat their homes?

And where was Conservative hero Pierre Poilievre when the sun-eclipsed world went kind of, sort of dark?

Right there with the rest of them, including PM Trudeau, that’s where:

Canadians are being sleep-walked through a danger-fraught nightmare as politicians, including Poilievre count on words rather than actions to bring Canada back to what it was before Justin Trudeau came into power.

None of the Conservative leader’s words “axe the (carbon) tax” or cut the painful sting of soaring inflation.

A grinning, waving to street crowds Trudeau was on hand during yesterday’s Eclipse of the sun:

“Justin Trudeau was spotted taking in the spectacle from the roof of the building that houses the Prime Minister's Office.

LOL, MP Battiste, Canadian humans in the Land of the Maple Leaf are currently tossed up in the “phenomenon” known as your leader’s carbon tax.

The reaction to the Eclipse was not much better in our southern neighbor.

’People went nuts over the Eclipse’ (Fox News, April 8, 2024).

“Today politicians grabbed their silly glasses and looked at the sky.” (Jesse Watters)

Meanwhile, while Fox and other media were waiting for people to go nuts over the media-hyped Eclipse, it was the politicians that went nuttier.
