AAA Gas Check: Arizona drivers get gas price relief entering July 4th weekend
Pump prices in Arizona have continued a weeks-long slide, with the average for a gallon of regular gasoline dropping by 14 cents in the past week to $3.97 – a 68 cent drop from a month ago. That follows a trend seen across the nation as today’s national average is $3.83 per gallon.
“Crude oil prices have fallen to their lowest levels in months, dropping to the $60 a barrel range,” said Aldo Vazquez, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group. “Gas prices remain the highest they’ve been in four years, but the downward trend since late May is welcome news as we head into the Fourth of July weekend.”
