For an example of how to conjure a firestorm for no good reason, take a gander at East Greenbush Supervisor Jack Conway's attempt to strong-arm the town library.

The supervisor, a Democrat, would like to oversee the construction of a police station before the end of his term in 2027. Nothing wrong with that. East Greenbush police are currently working out of a cramped basement, and they could use an upgrade.
