Families are at the heart of our communities, providing the love and stability every child needs to thrive.
Yet, for many children in the foster care system, being separated from their families is a difficult reality. This June, we turn our focus to the process of reunifying these families, and to celebrate the strength and resilience that make such reunifications possible. June is nationally celebrated as “Reunification Month,” dedicated to recognizing and reinforcing the importance of family reunification.
This month highlights the tireless efforts of those working to ensure that families, whenever safe and possible, can be brought back together.
Reunification Month began in 2010, spearheaded by the American Bar Association Center on Children and the Law.
