Pakistan is playing a very constructive role as an honest peace broker to de-escalate the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Pakistan was one of the first countries to denounce the attack on Iran. At the same time, once Iran resorted to attacking neighbouring Gulf countries, Pakistan also condemned Iranian targeting of Arab states. This calibrated response reflects a careful balancing of principles and alliances, ensuring that Pakistan’s position remains rooted in both justice and regional stability without tilting excessively towards any one side.

Pakistan has been pursuing an intense diplomatic campaign for peace and stability in the region through consistent, constructive, and balanced diplomacy. It has always been a strong proponent of unity among the Muslim Ummah, and this remains a central pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy. While Pakistan condemned the attack on Iran, it also stands firm and committed to its obligation in the defence of Saudi Arabia. This commitment is not merely because of the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA), but also emanates from the historic and emotional attachment of every Pakistani citizen to the Kingdom. This dual-track approach highlights Pakistan’s ability to uphold principles while safeguarding long-standing strategic relationships.

US seeks access to 3 new defense areas in Greenland: Report

Pakistan proudly cherishes its role as a defender of the two Holy Places. Saudi Arabia has consistently acknowledged this historic bond between the two nations and has stood by Pakistan through thick and thin. Pakistan’s efforts to reduce the proliferation of conflict in the Middle East are rooted in its sincerity towards preserving unity among Muslim countries. Pakistan seeks a peaceful and stable Middle East; however, it will resist any attempt to harm the sovereignty and integrity of its closest Muslim brother country, Saudi Arabia. It is therefore imperative for all stakeholders to make concerted efforts to respect unity among the Muslim Ummah.
