Federal agents drive off with man's toddler during immigration raid in LA
(KTLA) — During an immigration enforcement operation in Los Angeles last week, armed and masked federal agents reportedly drove off in a detained U.S. citizen’s vehicle while his 1-year-old daughter was strapped into the backseat as witnesses protested, according to multiple media reports.
The Nov. 4 incident happened outside a Home Depot store in the Cypress Park neighborhood shortly after 32-year-old Dennis Quinonez reportedly exited his vehicle with a hammer and threw rocks at the federal agents, the L.A. Times reported.
In the criminal complaint against Quinonez, federal officials said that as they were preparing to leave the area, they saw him put the hammer in the trunk of his SUV and allegedly spotted him throwing objects that looked like rocks at their vehicle.
The agents then used their vehicles to box the SUV in to prevent him from leaving, at which time........
