Sometimes, the simplest ideas are the best ideas, and the simplest solutions are the most effective. And sometimes, if you want to solve a problem, addressing it head-on won’t get you anywhere. You do something else, and that something else leads to an outcome that actually solves your problem.

Perhaps you are struggling to focus at work and cannot quite phrase an email to a client. Instead of banging your head against your desk and forcing yourself to sit still in your chair, you take a break and do a completely different activity. You focus on another easier task, or you go for a 10-minute walk. Maybe you read a book.
