We will learn a lot about Swindon Town in how they respond to a rough 4-0 defeat on the road against Accrington Stanley.

I did not have a good day on Saturday. The people at Avanti West Coast contrived to delay my arrival at the Wham Stadium by almost two hours. But, by the end of the afternoon, I was wishing that they had managed to keep me on that train just south of Hemel Hempstead for even longer – and not just for the additional delay repay.

Nothing went right for Swindon on Saturday. Their play was pedestrian and too easily disrupted by an admittedly strong Accrington press. For weeks, I had felt that the key to Swindon’s success was the fact that they could hurt teams through the middle, down the left, and down the right in almost equal measure. One or two openings and Finley Munroe’s shot from range........
