Swindon Town find themselves in frantic League Two period
With four wins from five across the last fortnight, Swindon Town have now discovered exactly what it is that makes them tick.
Even on a day in which the flu had rendered me sleepless for two consecutive nights, it was impossible not to have a fun time watching Swindon roll over a helpless Bristol Rovers 3-0 at the Memorial Stadium, the club’s joint-biggest margin of victory at that ground.
It was the sort of afternoon you are supposed to have plenty of in a season where you are challenging at the top, but getting to do that to a local rival made for a special away day. Even though Swindon did not come out of the gates red hot, it was evident from the start that Rovers were not going to be getting any derby day boost, so it was all about whether Town could find their feet in the face of that.
Joe Snowdon’s remarkable fortnight continued with his glorious, swerving effort,........
