Warriors' Draymond Green involved in awkward reporter exchange on media day

The NBA season is right around the corner, as evidenced by the arrival of team media days and all the pomp that always comes with them. Across the league, players are posing with teammates new and old, social media teams are filming the latest TikTok trend and Warriors forward Draymond Green is getting into an awkward exchange with a reporter.
Yes, despite the heavily manicured setting of Golden State’s media day, Green and San Francisco Chronicle columnist Scott Ostler had a tense back-and-forth during the 34-year-old’s time at the podium. (SFGATE and the Chronicle are both owned by Hearst but have separate newsrooms.)
Things kicked off after Ostler began his question with, “You know people worry about you. Fans, teammates —” At that point, Green jumped in with a question of his own: “Why they worry about me? I’m a successful Black man in America doing incredibly well,” the forward said with a chuckle.

Ostler then repeated that people worry about Green, but the Warriors player dismissed those concerns by saying there are so many other people to worry about in the world. After the columnist shot back, “But we’re here now,” Green replied, “We’re all........
