As the sun sets a little earlier and the crispness of autumn approaches, there’s a nostalgic excitement in the air – it’s back-to-school season! Whether you have a little one who is about to embark on their first day of kindergarten or if you’re diving back into your studies as a lifelong learner, the public library is here to support every chapter of your educational journey.

If your child is anxious about the first day of kindergarten, the library offers some helpful books in print and online to help ease their mind. Check out the picture books The Night Before Kindergarten by Rosemary Wells, the classic Clifford Goes to Kindergarten by Norman Bridwell, Clover Kitty Goes to Kindergarten by Laura Purdie Salas, or Amanda Panda Quits Kindergarten by Candice F. Ransom. These are positive and empowering stories to help build confidence in apprehensive new students.

The library also offers interactive resources to support literacy through these early school years.........
