Coast Citrus Distributors is recalling fresh jalapeños from Sinaloa, Mexico, after 36 hospitalizations and no deaths were reported

Federal health agencies are investigating a multistate Salmonella Javiana outbreak connected to fresh jalapeño peppers; the FDA and CDC confirm 345 people in 27 states have fallen ill and 36 have required hospitalization. No deaths have been reported.
The jalapeños were grown in Sinaloa, Mexico, and distributed to wholesalers, restaurants, and food service companies nationwide by California-based Coast Citrus Distributors. The FDA traced the peppers to a common grower in Sinaloa and recommended a recall, which Coast Citrus Distributors has agreed to carry out. The firm is no longer importing from that........
