Driver in court accused of causing death of Norwich cyclist
Jane Blackwell, 64, suffered fatal injuries after being hit and knocked from her bike on Newmarket Road in August 2023.
An inquest opening heard she died as the result of positional asphyxia after becoming trapped under a Renault Laguna following the collision.
Its driver Jose Da Silva Junior, 64, who lives on Albemarle Road, the junction of which is close to where the accident happened, is accused of performing an “unsafe manoeuvre” shortly before she was hit.
