Man left with hole in head after unprovoked attack in the centre of Norwich

Ionut Buzdugan and his friend Stephan Rusu had been on their way to buy food on Prince of Wales Road - once dubbed by a senior policeman as the county's most dangerous - when they came across two teens who both had knives.

Iwo Grudowski, 18, and a 17-year-old - who cannot be identified for legal reasons - then attacked the unfortunate Romanian duo, leaving both with life-changing injuries.

Mr Rusu, who has since returned to Romania, was stabbed repeatedly in the torso and has had to have part of his intestine removed following an operation.

And Mr Buzdugan, who was stabbed in the head, has been left with a gaping open wound following the violent attack in the early hours of April 6.
