The city centre illuminations, managed by Norwich Business Improvement District (BID), are being installed a week ahead of schedule this year and will remain up until January 31.

The display, featuring LED string lighting on 105 lampposts, as well as festoon lighting in the Lanes, used to come down on January 5.

But feedback from businesses and locals led to the decision to keep them up longer.
