Flock at the Food Hall, a celebration of farming, livestock and rural heritage, was run by the Food & Farming Discovery Trust (FFDT), the educational arm of the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association.

The free event aimed to connect communities with agriculture, creating "memorable, hands-on experiences" with a selection of rare-breed ewes and lambs.

Visitors took part in interactive activities including a competition to guess the weight of a ewe named Clover, and a public vote to choose the name of her newest lamb.

There were also live halter training demonstrations, offering an insight into livestock handling and training techniques.

Alongside the animal attractions, the event also celebrated the "artistry and sustainability" of sheep's wool. Talented wool spinners and textile artists demonstrated traditional crafts and modern applications of this natural fibre, allowing visitors to witness the journey from fleece to finished product.

An FFDT spokesman said: "The event formed part of a broader initiative to promote awareness of rare breeds, support agricultural education, and highlight the importance of preserving rural traditions.

"By creating a welcoming and interactive environment, Flock at the Food Hall successfully bridged the gap between producers and the public, fostering greater understanding of the farming industry."
