US, Iran hold delegation-level talks days after announcing ceasefire in Middle East | What we know so far

While the US delegation was led by Vice President JD Vance, Iranian Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf led his side for the crucial talks. The talks began after Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon were significantly reduced and other pre-conditions were met.

Islamabad: The US and Iran began holding peace talks in Islamabad on Saturday. Talking between two sides were held for the first time, since declaring ceasefire after over a month long conflict in the middle east. The direct talks between Iran, US and Pakistan started following Islamabad’s separate talks with both delegations.
