BCCI approves big pay hike for domestic women cricketers, match officials
New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has decided to double the match fees of women cricketers and officials in domestic cricket in order to create a more equitable pay structure across the circuit.
The Board’s apex council approved substantial hike that is being viewed as a direct consequence of the country’s Women’s ODI World Cup triumph recently.
Senior women cricketers in domestic tournaments will get Rs 50,000 per day from here on, a massive jump from Rs 20,000 (Rs 10,000 for reserves) per match day.
