The Society for Human Resource Management recently looked into what company leaders across the country want to achieve in 2026. AI skeptics should look away now, because adopting more AI was the foremost goal for next year. Meanwhile, three in four of the CEOs in the survey said they think there will be even more downsizing across the wider economy. It sounds like a double whammy for employees across the U.S., but AI may not be to blame for all the expected layoffs.
