While Christmas can be a dreamy time to reconnect with family, and make some memories, it can also be a time of being reminded just how... weird they are. Rules are presented that make next to no sense, one person’s idea of polite is another’s definition of rude and, well, it can be quite the minefield if you’re not careful.
Reddit user Evilregal2013 experienced this particular brand of Christmas chaos over the weekend.
Posting on the AITA (Am I The Asshole) community, they explained: “With Christmas coming up, my sister and I were FaceTiming with some other family and they asked what we were bringing to dinner. We said we were bringing dessert, and I said I was going to bring a potato to bake for me.”
Now, so far, I do think this is weird. Bringing a single potato to bake? Hello? You good?
