Donald Trump Finds A Creative Way To Tear Into His Predecessors' Legacy
New plaques installed by Trump in the White House to sum up US presidents
Donald Trump has taken aim at his predecessors by setting up a new, brutal, walk of fame within the White House.
The US president has installed a series of portraits of former presidents in the historic building, accompanied by large gold frames – and complete with descriptive plaques.
Only Joe Biden is the exception, as an image of an autopen replaces his portrait.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters: “The plaques are eloquently written descriptions of each president and the legacy they left behind.
“As a student of history, many were written directly by the president himself.”
A brief introductory sign explains the display was “conceived, built and dedicated by the President Donald J Trump as a tribute to past Presidents, good, bad and somewhere in the middle.”
With capitalised prose very similar to the US President’s........
