Police Say Madonna's Missing Coachella Pieces May Have Fallen Off A Golf Cart

The Queen of Pop previously said she was offering a reward for the "safe return" of her missing clothes and jewellery.

Police officers in California have responded to Madonna’s recent posts about the apparent disappearance of costumes and jewellery she brought with her to this year’s Coachella music festival.

On Monday night, days after taking to the stage in a surprise appearance during Sabrina Carpenter’s headlining Coachella set, the Queen of Pop told her Instagram followers: “Bringing Confessions Il back to where it began was such a thrill! This full circle moment hit different until I discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing.”

“These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history,” the Like A Prayer singer lamented, adding that she’d be offering a reward for the “safe return” of her missing items.

Following this, it was confirmed by officers in Indio, California that a “missing property report” for “two bags of clothing and jewellery” had been filed by Madonna’s team.

It was also noted that the missing pieces were last seen atop a golf cart being driven behind the scenes of the festival by staff members, with police suggesting they may have simply fallen off the back of the vehicle unnoticed.

“There is no evidence to suggest the bags were intentionally stolen,” the police report said, per ABC News.

Madonna first performed at Coachella in 2006 to promote her then-recent release Confessions On A Dance Floor.

She returned to the event almost 20 years to the day to perform her hits Vogue and Like A Prayer with Sabrina Carpenter, as well as premiering a new duet with the Please Please Please singer thought to be taken from her upcoming album Confessions II.

Immediately after performing with Sabrina on Friday night, Madonna also released I Feel So Free, Confessions II’s opening track, to streaming services, after premiering the song on iHeartRadio’s sister station Pride Radio earlier that day.
