Keira Knightley has opened up about filming Waitrose’s latest Christmas advert with the comedian Joe Wilkinson.

In what has gone on to be one of the year’s most popular festive ads, Keira and Joe recently became the stars of a mini rom-com for Waitrose’s new Christmas campaign.

On Wednesday, the Love Actually star was unveiled as the latest guest on the podcast Dish, where she reflected on working with “lovely Joe” on their ad.

Recalling their kissing scene, she explained: “He’s so sweet. He’s got such a large beard that I didn’t get close to his mouth.

“Like, as [I was] watching Traitors [with my children, they said, ‘did you kiss him?’. And I was like, ‘kind of’. We sort of bounced off the beard, yeah.”
