A selection of highlights from the 2026 Golden Globes ceremony and red carpet

After the recent Critics’ Choice Awards served as something of an amuse bouche, the indulgent meal that is awards season 2026 officially got underway on Sunday night with a rather tasty appetiser in the form of the Golden Globes.

Following her well-received stint last year, US comedian Nikki Glaser returned as host, with Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another and the hit Netflix drama Adolescence coming away with the most awards on the night.

However, because the whole thing took place while most of the UK was tucked up in bed, the chances are you might have missed out on some of the night’s antics and must-see moments.

Fortunately, we’ve rounded them all up for you in our handy guide to the 2026 Golden Globes…

Let’s start, as all good awards shows should, on the red carpet, where Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storie and Hudson Williams made their biggest public appearance to date

The White Lotus actor Parker Posey was definitely having some fun striking a pose for photographers as she made her way into the event

Meanwhile, her co-star Aimee Lou Wood made a rare public appearance with her boyfriend Adam Long

Ariana Grande swapped her usual Glinda-esque theatrical red carpet looks for this all-black ensemble

It looked like Stephen Graham was having a good time with his wife and Adolescence co-producer Hannah Walters

We also want to shout this sensational serve from Jennifer Lopez

…while Jennifer Lawrence also gave us one of our favourite red carpet looks of the 2026 Golden Globes

We have to commend Nikki Glaser on another great job hosting – opening the show with a monologue that not only roasted some of the celebrities in the audience, but also referenced the current political climate in the US

Teyana Taylor was the night’s first winner, and her fellow nominees all looked absolutely thrilled for her

She then kicked off her acceptance speech with a shout-out to her ‘party in the back’
