A selection of some of the festive moments that have us howling every Christmas

Whether you’re a Christmas obsessive who’s been blasting Mariah Carey since the second you closed the door on the last of your trick-or-treaters or a more sceptical Scrooge, one thing that can’t be denied is that all of the twinkling fairy lights, colourful decorations and relentlessly-upbeat music that come with the festive season are a great antidote to the gloom and darkness that’s otherwise associated with the UK at the height of winter.

One key way of spreading festive cheer is, of course, with a big old laugh, and much like the films and songs we revisit every December, many of us will also have hilarious – and, indeed, ridiculous – seasonal videos that we like to dust off.

So, to help see in the festive season in style, we’ve rounded up some of our absolute favourites that are guaranteed to raise a smile no matter how cold the weather or grey the skies…
