Opinion: Oilers tell sexual violence survivors hockey isn't for them One of my greatest joys was being in the Moss Pit for the Edmonton Oilers’ 8-1, Game 4, victory in the 2024 Stanley Cup finals. I’d flown halfway across the country, overpaying for beer that other fans dutifully helped me avoid spilling, hugging our beloved Mama Stanley (who remains the absolute best of us), and screaming until my throat was raw when the expected “celebration of life” game became a miraculous push toward Game 7.
