The biggest speeding hotspot over the eight weeks was Hopton on Sea where a series of regular checks on the A47 and around the coastal resort and village found 1,007 motorists over the speed limit.

Second highest was Thetford where 824 drivers - 196 in September and 628 in October - were detected to be travelling too fast.

The end of the busy summer months saw the total numbers detected slightly down on preceding months at 7,597.
